What genres do you specialize in?
I specialize in all romance genres including: young adult, new adult, contemporary, historical, paranormal, and erotica. I am happy to stray from those genres on a case-by-case basis depending on the synopsis and if I am confident I can do your novel justice.
How do I format my manuscript to send?
I accept Microsoft Word, Pages, or Open Office documents and prefer them to be submitted using a standard font (Times, Arial, or Courier in 12-point type). This can be sent to me via email or through a Dropbox-type transfer.
How are my edits returned?
In addition to a typed summary of high-level comments which will be sent via email, I use Track Changes. Track Changes is a feature within the above-mentioned word processing programs which allows you to easily see the changes that have been made. This feature allows you to accept or reject any suggested changes and incorporate them into your final document. I also use the Comments feature to leave additional remarks in the margin.
What style guide do you use?
I use the Chicago Manual of Style, a publication put out by the University of Chicago Press that is one of the most widely used and respected guides in publishing. For spelling, I used the Merriam-Webster Collegiate dictionary.
When and how do I pay?
Once we have agreed on a price and timeline, I require a 50% deposit at contract signing. I will then request the remaining 50% when the final manuscript is returned.
I accept payment via PayPal, check, or money order.
How long will it take?
Turnaround time will depend on the length of the book, my current availability, and the working style the author prefers. Some authors like to bring me in early on in the process so I can help with plot, character, and timeline issues as the book is being drafted. This can take weeks or months. If you already have a clean draft, I can usually get through it in a week or two. I do offer rush services for an additional charge.
What is your availability?
I am currently accepting new clients. Please contact me to inquire about availability.
Do you provide sample edits?
Yes. I will provide free sample edits of up to 1,000 words and can usually return them within 24 hours.

“CeCe has been an invaluable support to my writing career for years! Smart, forthright, and honest, she helps you get your book in the absolute best shape possible. She’s always my first reader and beyond amazing with all of her feedback. She helps root out logical issues, organize the storyline, enhances characterization, plot issues and inconsistencies. Anything that needs a little extra TLC, CeCe will spot it! With CeCe’s help your pacing will always stay on point and every scene in your story will pop, and she does all this while still supporting your unique writing voice. Highly, highly recommended!!” Katy Evans, NYT and USA Today bestselling author of the REAL and Manwhore series
“I have had the pleasure of working with CeCe on my last five releases: The Definition of Icing, The Aubrey Rules, Breakout, On Thin Ice, and Sugar and Ice. What I love about working with CeCe is that she truly examines all parts of your work with a fine-tooth comb-from pacing and character development to the tiniest detail that might be missing from the story. When CeCe gives me feedback, she explains why she is giving it-you’ll never get a one comment response from her, but a thoughtful discourse on her critique. I know each book she has worked on has been better because of her.” Aven Ellis, bestselling author of the Dallas Demons romance series
